Hi, I’m Andy Trace, a freelance filmmaker, photographer and biker.

I’ve been trusted to shoot commercials for global brands including Volvo, Abbey Road Studios, Tinder and Brompton, plus have extensive experience strategising the content for a YouTube channel which has grown to 500,000 subs and 170 million views.

Over the years, in order to tell the stories closest to my heart, I’ve also become comfortable stepping in front of the camera.

WHY URBAN RIDER/Aventure rider

Let’s be real, you’re the only shop that really has any understanding of design, style or culture and one of the only places to buy gear you can actually be seen in. Your content for sure has helped guide many a rider down a safer, more aesthetic path and is of course in large part fueling the modern classic uprising.

Why now? Well, I’m looking for a change. Fifteen years of freelancing has meant every week it’s a different client, a different team and a different mission. It's been an incredible roller coaster and I wouldn’t change a thing, however I’m now actively seeking an opportunity where I can work with the same team, develop long term relationships and work towards a common goal, together and with consistency.

I frequent many forums, where I’m forever sharing knowledge and definitely been known to go down a research rabbit hole or two… or three. Therefore, I for sure understand the audience and what they want to see and hear. One such rabbit hole led to me creating a YouTube short about motorcycle armour which got around 25K views and 200 fairly opinionated comments. The fact that I’d be working within the motorcycle industry, starting debates and helping others in their research of products would just be unreal.

When managing the wildlife rescue YouTube channel I loved digging into the analytics, A/B testing thumbnails, trying ideas and seeing momentum build week by week. At the moment I don’t quite get that same feedback loop and I truly miss seeing my direct impact.

It’s in my nature to immerse myself fully into what I do, which sometimes leaves me spreading myself a little thin. Filmmaking is my passion, motorcycles are my passion, plus deep research and sharing knowledge are an uncontrollable urge. So being able to channel all my energy and ideas into a single role for one of the leading voices in the UK motorcycle industry (and one I genuinely believe in) would be a truly wonderful way to live.

Unfinished ‘presented video’

Here’s part of an unfinished video. Sharing simply as another example of myself on camera to give you a more rounded sense of my raw personality, before any polish is added.

ROLLING Film RIG

I’ve built a car filming rig that can safely and smoothly handle speeds up to 70mph as well as imperfect road conditions. It can be operated by a single person on auto or a team of two for optimal control and creativity.
